PMH, now the Perth Children’s Hospital, was, for about 20 years, the main treatment centre for COMMSSA’s children sent from Mauritius for treatment in Perth.

Jenny and Paul Geelen have generously given their time and expertise to a young girl from Rodrigues since she lost an eye in 2011; they have attended to her on many occasions and provided her with an aesthetically perfect eye prosthesis.

The Australian High Commission in Mauritius
Over the years COMMSSA has enjoyed the support of the Australian High Commissioners to the Republic of Mauritius. Mrs Susan Coles and Mrs Jenny Dee, the last two High Commissioners, deserve a special mention and our deep gratitude.
Dr Kate O'shaughnessy, Mrs Jenny Dee's successor, has pledged her support at a meeting with the President and Medical Directors of COMMSSA before taking up her post in Port Louis in 2020.
