COMMSSA's annual quiz night was expertly hosted by renowned TV anchor Geof Parry with over 160 attendees at the Troy Pickard Hockey Centre on 24 February 2024.
COMMSSA's president, Dr. Mariam Bahemia hosted the first Quiz night in 1996 and ever since this has been one of the biggest annual fundraising events.
This year's quiz night featured not only brain-teasing trivia but also a silent auction, raffle tickets, and other forms of donations, resulting in over $4000 AUD raised.
The funds are used to financially support disadvantaged children of Mauritius and Rodrigues with the medical and surgical expenses throughout the year.
It's heartwarming to see how much can be achieved when a community comes together for a common cause.
